USCIS makes it a little more confusing to pay USCIS fees.

USCIS will no longer accept paper checks or money orders for most benefit requests, filed by most applicants, filed through the mail.   This change is part of a broader push to reduce reliance on paper checks and money orders, which comprised the vast majority of payments.  Now only ACH debit (via Form G-1650) or credit card payments (via Form G-1450) will be accepted, unless an applicant qualifies for a narrow exemption documented by Form G-1651. USCIS Applicants must make sure they have sufficient funds for any ACH transaction, as rejected payments may lead to application rejection.
